Today we’ll be looking at the Bosch 12-inch axial sliding compound mitre saw, which everyone brought back to review. Do you want to find out what all the fuss is about?
So, over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to use many different mitre saws Bosch rigid Dewalt, and they’re all great in their own way. I chose Bosch because I liked all of the features they included in the saw, and it’s a good buy at this price.

The benefits of using a Zack so glide saw include its compact size, but this EXO glide is silky smooth. Take a look at this action. With one finger, you could move it back and forth. It’s simply buttery smooth. When you go to a store, you compare it to other saws.
There’s nothing quite like it, so let’s go over some of the basic features and specifications of this saw. Because this is a 12-inch sliding compound mitre saw, it has a 12-inch blade with 5/8 armour. Many songs that slide are also referred to as chop saws.
If they aren’t fighting, it will fall, and you won’t be able to cut a full width. If you lift the piece with this saw, you can cut clear about 13 inches and up to 14 inches. You can also alter the angle of the base angle. The mitre angle ranges between 0 and 60 degrees. 60 is quite unusual. I built this bench so that I could rotate it up to 50 degrees.
Still, it’s nice to have that option, and the bevel angle ranges from 0 to 45 degrees. You can fine-tune that a little more for those out-of-the-ordinary angles. The compound action of the bevel angle is useful when cutting crown moulding and other mouldings around the house; otherwise, most people do not use it.
However, it is nice to have in one sock if you are going to purchase one, so one of the methods I use to test whether the saw is well built is to look at the components in how it is built. It’s a solid foundation.
It weighs around 65 pounds in total, making it a very heavy saw. It’s not something you want to be carrying around with you. If you’re working in the field, you’ll want to put it on a mobile cart or a fixed cabinet.
You’ll want a heavy cast iron base if you’re working in the shop. All metal parts of the primary structure, one of the most important things we want to check with the arm is how much it racks side to side almost all of these saws are due to some degree.
The amount they do is determined by how tight the bearing tolerances are and how good they are, and you don’t want too much side-to-side play because it will change the angle of your cuts; in this case, this saw is well built. You’ll get excellent straight cuts every time if you use proper technique.
So, let’s look at some of the other features. If you’re working in the field, it has extension wings. I don’t need it because I work here in the shop. I have cabinets on both sides, but if you’re working in the field, you might want to consider a mobile base with extension rollers to support 8 10 12 16 foot material.
Because these will only get you so far, having this built-in fence that is also expandable is a nice feature. You can unlock and slide them out. Because of my fence, I can’t go too far with these, but you can see how far they extend to support taller materials. Another thing I like about this saw is that it has all of the controls.
